Warning Against Unqualified Driving Instructors From Derby’s Mint Driving School
A recent article in the Derby Telegraph points out that after a number of roadside checks, some driving instructors have been found to be giving lessons without the relevant license. The Metropolitan Police told the BBC that if people were not taught correctly, it could impact long-term road safety.
The Driving Standards Agency undertook 30 roadside operations since 2011 to target illegal driving instructors in England, Scotland and Wales and on average a suspected illegal driving instructor is reported to it daily. You can rest assured that Mint Driving School comprises Derby driving instructors trained the highest Driving Standards Agency standards and licenses can be produced upon request. We find this news particularly disheartening as we are currently striving to help improve road safety across Derby, in particular close to its schools.
In fact, the recent Local Road Safety Index rated Derby as one of the least safe places in the UK for collisions within 500 metres of its schools. That’s why we’re asking a question each week on Facebook surrounding the Highway Code. Answer a question correctly and share the question post and you could win two hours of FREE driving lessons!
